The Citi® Double Cash Card usually has more to offer than the Simmons Visa®* Map. The Citi® Double Cash Card earns 2% cash back on all purchases, 1% when purchases are made, and an additional 1% when paid. It also offers an introductory APR of 0% on balance transfers for 18 months. After that, the standard variable APR will be 15.49% to 25.49%, depending on creditworthiness. There is also an introductory balance transfer fee of $5 or 3% of the amount of each transfer, whichever is greater, made within the first 4 months of account opening. After that, the fee will be 5% of each transfer (minimum $5).

The Citi Double Cash has virtually no major advantages, so the Simmons Visa®* has something the Citi Double Cash does not have. Still, the few extras on the Simmons Card aren’t enough to make the Simmons Visa®* a better choice.

Although Bank of America’s personalized cash rewards feature a higher standard APR of , the Simmons Visa credit card does not offer such a long APR intro period and does not offer rewards. Unless you want both a lower standard APR and a shorter balance transfer period, there’s clearly a more powerful card here.

This period of up to 21 months almost doubles the period of the Simmons Visa and includes purchases.
